    • A control system for an induction motor of the present invention independently commands the torque current component and the exciting current component of a stator current group supplied to the stator of an induction motor so as to feed-back control the amplitude and phase of the stator current group. The torque current component is commanded to control the output torque of the induction motor in correspondence with the output of a steering force sensor for detecting the steering force. According to an electric power steering apparatus using an induction motor controlled by the control system, a permanent magnet is not used for the motor so additional equipment such as a clutch is not required. Consequently, the structure can be simplified and the size of the unit can be reduced. Further, manual steering operation can be performed in the case of failure.

    • Apparatus for removing and collecting fiber waste from a creel stand having multiple, juxtaposed creel sections including an air suction/blower blowing a first air stream across the top of the creel sections and creating a second air stream flowing across the bottom of the creel sections. An air deflector reciprocating across the top of the creel sections deflects the first air stream downwardly through the creel sections. A bottom plenum beneath the creel sections receives the air stream from the creel sections and confines and directs the second air stream to the suction/blower. A second blower blows air through the bottom plenum toward the suction/blower to assist the suction/blower in creating the second air stream. A plurality of baffles are included in the bottom plenum to provide laminar air flow therein.

    • A contact for a connector, which includes two opposed contact elements for receiving therebetween a male contact of a mating connector. Each the contact element is provided with one or more protrusions on an opposed surface for embracing the male contact. Protrusions of the two opposed contact elements extend to that portions of the opposed contact elements which are devoid of the protrusions so as to overlap each other before the male contact is inserted between the contact elements. With this arrangement, even if the male contact is very thin, pressing force required to securely pressing the male contact by the contact elements is certainly obtained. The contact and the male contact are securely contacted without any torsional force and other forces which would otherwise be caused on these contacts.
