    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new means for enhancing the robustness of an emulsion and a particle dispersion by irreversibly bonding a polymeric dispersant at the liquid/liquid or solid/liquid interface so that a dispersant does not desorb.SOLUTION: This is a dispersion containing a discontinuous phase solid particle or droplet in a continuous phase liquid. The dispersion further contains a polymeric dispersant having a soluble segment in the continuous phase, an insoluble segment in the continuous phase, and a network formed around the discontinuous phase solid particle or droplet by a crosslinking bond of the polymeric dispersant. The crosslinking bond exists between the soluble segments in the continuous phase.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stabilizing a particle suspension liquid utilizing a reactive polymer surfactant and a particle suspension liquid obtained by the method.SOLUTION: Stability of this particle suspension liquid which contains a water phase containing a substantially nonmiscible organic solvent and suspending a solid agrichemical substantially insoluble in the water phase is enhanced by (i) formation of a polymer stabilizer having a hydrophilic part and a hydrophobic part by polymerizing a plurality of vinyl monomers (not limited to vinyl ester or the hydrolysate of the same) in which at least some of them have a functional group capable of crosslinking reaction and (ii) operation of reacting the polymer stabilizer with at least a kind of substance contained (dissolved or suspended) in the water phase and capable of crosslinking to the functional group. The weight ratio of (a) the polymer stabilizer before crosslinking and (b) the suspended agrichemical is 5 parts of the suspended agrichemical to less than 1 part of the polymer stabilizer.
