    • The invention improves the assembly operation of a connector provided with a detecting member. A female housing 20 is provided with a locking arm 33 capable of engaging with a locking protrusion 14 of a male housing 10. A detecting member 50 capable of moving in an anterior-posterior direction is attached to an upper face of this locking arm 33. The detecting member 50 has an operating member 53 joined to a posterior end of a main body 51 by a hinge 52. A finger engages from the posterior with the operating member 53 to push in the detecting member 50, this detecting member 50 being pushed in its direction of fitting in an inclined downwards direction. When the detecting member 50 is in a waiting position, the operating member 53 thereof is located above a posterior portion of the upper face of the locking arm 33. This posterior portion of the upper face of the locking arm 33 has a guiding inclined face 44 formed thereon, this guiding inclined face 44 being inclined downwards in the pushing-in direction. When the detecting member 50 is being moved from the waiting position to a detecting position, the operating member 53 slides along the guiding inclined face 44, this smoothly guiding the movement thereof.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a splice reduced in the number of part items, simplified in its structure, and having a water-proof function. SOLUTION: In this connector, a bent part 8 is formed by folding a midway of one electric wire W, an insulation displacement terminal 14 is connected to a tip, and a sealing member 37 comprising a seal main body part 39 formed by molding and a lip ring 42 engaged with the seal main body part 39 is provided in a root side. When the insulation displacement terminal 14 is inserted into a cavity 11 of a connector housing 10, the sealing member 37 is engaged with the seal engaging part 34 in an inlet of the cavity 11, a lip formed in the lip ring 42 is brought elastically into close contact with an inner peripheral surface of the seal engaging part 34.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly workability in a connector provided with a detection member. SOLUTION: A female housing 20 is provided with a lock arm 33 which can be locked to a locking protrusion 14 of a male housing 10, on top face of which is fitted a detection member 50 which can move back and forth. The detection member 50 is in the form of hanging a finger on a fingering operation part 5 with a hinge 52 at the back side of a main body 51 and can be pressed in downhill to the movement direction of the detection member 50 in a state of hanging a finger on the fingering operation part 53 from the back. Mounted on a rear part of the top face of the lock arm 33 is the fingering operation part 53 of the detection member 50 arranged at a stand-by position and at same time, a guiding slope face 44 is formed slanting downhill along its pressing-in direction. The fingering operation part 53 is made to slide contact with the guiding slope face 44 accompanying the movement of the detection member 50 from the stand-by position to the detection position, whereby, the movement operation is smoothly guided.

The connection portion between the insulation displacement terminal 14 and the electric wire W is thereby sealed, and the original electric wire W is branched without using another electric wire or a terminal metal.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a releasing part. SOLUTION: A lock arm 25 and a pair of protective walls 32 are projectedly provided on the upper surface of a female housing 20, and a detecting member 40 is mounted between both protective walls 32 from the back side. The detecting member 40 has a pair of locking arms 51, and locking surfaces 53 at their front tips are locked by locking projections 37 projectedly provided from the protective walls 32, thereby stopping the detecting member 40 forwardly from a standby position. A pair of releasing ribs 60 are disposed in a hood part 11 of a male housing 10, and an upper surface extending in the engaging direction of both housings 10 and 20 is connected to a ceiling surface of the hood part 11. When both housings 10 and 20 are engaged with each other, the releasing ribs 60 engage with engaging projections 54 of the locking arms 51, and the locking arms 51 are deflected and deformed so as to release an locking state with the locking projections 37. A front side release rib 60A and an inside release rib 60B are formed while engaging surfaces 61A and 61B facing the locking arms 51 are displaced back and forth.
