    • The present invention relates to a vibration-proofing device which supports an upper structure (11), on a lower structure (12), to allow the upper structure (11) to swing, thereby isolating earthquakes, traffic vibrations and vibrations from the equipment installed in another room so as to protect the upper structure (11) from vibrations. An object of the Invention is to provide a bearing type of vibration-proofing device which absorbs not only horizontal but also vertical components of vibrations. The invention provides an arrangement wherein interposed between upper (11) and lower (12) structures are rolling bodies for horizontally supporting the upper structure for swing movement, the device being characterized in that the rolling bodies (17,18) are in the from of cylindrical rollers and elastomeric bodies (14) are interposed between the cylindrical rollers (17,18) and the upper (11) and lower (12) structures. In the present invention, it is desirable that the cylindrical rollers (17,18) be stacked in n rows and that these rows of cylindrical rollers form an angle of 180 DEG /n. Further, it is more desirable that air spring (28) or coil spring (26) means be disposed vertically of the cylindrical rollers and that a plurality of taper rollers be radially arranged in a horizontal plane vertically of the cylindrical rollers (17,18).

    • PURPOSE:To quickly absorb vibration such as torsional movement to exhibit good vibration proofing performance by a simple structure by radially connecting plural tapered rollers in horizontal planes, and arranging the rollers in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:When vibration such as torsional movement including rotational component is inputted at the time of generating the vibration, third tapered rollers 11... roll centered at a central point of arrangement of the rollers, and the rotational component is positively absorbed by the rolling. Vertical component is absorbed by elastic deformation of elastomers 6, 8, 18-20, 22 forming the rolling planes of first - third rollers, and horizontal component is absorbed by the rolling of first and second rollers 9...,10... on therolling planes formed by elastomers 8, 18-20 of respective pressure plates 7, 16, 17. When the first - the third rollers 9...,10..., 11... roll, the elastomers 6, 8,1 8-20, 22 are elastically deformed to produce rolling resistance and to exhibit the damping performance.
