    • A method and apparatus for three-dimensionally bending a metal material are provided. A product intermittently having a bent portion which curves three-dimensionally and a quenched portion is manufactured by a bending method which performs bending downstream of a support means while feeding a metal material which is supported by the support means from an upstream side towards a downstream side. A portion of the metal material is heated by a heating means for the metal material downstream of the support means, a bending moment is imparted to the portion of the metal material which was heated by the heating means to carry out bending by three-dimensionally changing the position of a movable roller die which is disposed downstream of the heating means and has a plurality of rolls which feed the metal material which was heated by the heating means in the axial direction, and the metal material is quenched by spraying a cooling medium at the portion of the metal material which was heated by the heating means by a cooling means disposed between the heating means and the movable roller die. Errors in a product due to bending are suppressed by supporting a portion of the metal material which has exited from the movable roller die.

On the basis of a control pattern predetermined in such a manner that the hot-bent metallic material has the objective quality, the feeding means and the holding means are controlled, and further, at least one or more means selected from the supporting means, the heating means and the cooling means are controlled.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for bending a special pipe, by which method and apparatus, the special pipe can be efficiently bent with excellent shape preserve ability even when the special pipe is three-dimensionally and continuously bent.
      SOLUTION: In the method for bending the special pipe, the special pipe is supported by a supporting means, and is bent at the downstream side than the supporting means while being extruded from the upstream side. The supporting position held by the supporting means is controlled according to the shape of the special pipe. The special pipe is clamped by a movable roller die provided on the downstream side than the supporting position. While controlling the position and/or the moving speed of the movable roller die, the special pipe is locally heated by a heating means and a cooling means arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the special pipe on the inlet side of the movable roller die, and a bending moment is applied to the heated portion, and after that, the heated portion is quenched. The method described above can be applied to the bending apparatus.

      SOLUTION: In a push-through bending method of the metallic material by which bending work is performed on the downstream side of a supporting means while successively or continuously extruding a material to be worked which is held rotatably by the supporting means from the upstream side, in this bending method of the metallic material, the metallic material is clamped with movable roller dies provided on the downstream side of the supporting means and the metallic material is heated to a temperature region where the metallic material can be locally plastically deformed and the temperature region where quenching is possible by using a heating means and a cooling means which are arranged on the inlet side of the movable roller dies and on the outer periphery of the metallic material while controlling the position or/and the moving speed of the movable roller dies and, after heating, the metallic material is rapidly cooled after imparting bending moment to the heated part. The same method is applicable to the bending apparatus and the bending equipment train.
