摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently preheat a nozzle in a short time and to excellently heat-insulate the nozzle after preheating by providing plural projecting parts in the inside of a cylindrical formed body. CONSTITUTION:Plural projecting parts 2 are provided to be opposed with each other at the position in the inner part of the ceramic fiber-made cylindrical body 1 to form a heat insulating material 1 for preheating. The projecting parts 2 are formed in a stripe-state having a prescribed width in the vertical direction. This heat insulating material 1 is used by insert-fitting from the lower part of the molten steel pouring nozzle 4. In this case, the length L between the insides of the projecting parts 2 formed in the inner surface of the heat insulating material 1 is preliminarily specified and formed so that the tip parts of the projecting parts 2 abut on the outer peripheral surface 5 of the molten steel pouring nozzole 4. Further, by properly selecting the height of the projecting parts 2, the gap 6 formed between the outer peripheral surface of the nozzle 4 and the heat insulating material 1 is constituted so that flame can sufficiently be passed. For example, the length of the gap 6 is made in the range of 2-10mm.

摘要： PURPOSE:To drastically reduce the center segregation at a bottom part while preventing the leakage of molten steel caused by the deformation of solidified shell and to reduce the shrinkage hole at the bottom part, at the time of completing the casting in the high speed condition. CONSTITUTION:At the time of completing the casting by a continuous caster, the casting is completed without executing the reduction of the casting speed and the stopping and the treating work of the bottom part, in the condition of holding the ordinary casting speed. The cast slab is drawn out at the ordinary casting speed and cooling water quantity is controlled. In this case, a crater end CE at the last end part of the cast slab is made to be positioned in a prescribed section B and light rolling reduction is executed at the position near the crater end CE with small diameter rolls 4 arranged in this section B. Bulging is prevented by this small diameter rolls 4 and the fluid of concd. molten steel part is prevented by the light rolling reduction, and the increase of the center segregation caused by non-metallic inclusion precipitation in the concd. molten steel and the shrinkage hole at the last bottom part is prevented.

Exothermic powder is used during a period from the time of the start of pouring to the time T2. In the dummy bar head, an arc hook-like recessed groove having (t+alpha) radius of the inner surface and (t+beta) radius of the outer diameter is formed, and the cast slab and the dummy bar are firmly connected and can easily be separated at a prescribed position.
