摘要： A ceramic stator disk is partly metallized to form a stator electrode, the disk being formed with a central aperture. A ceramic rotor disk, also partly metallized, fits against the stator disk, the rotor having a metallic shaft connected to the rotor metallization and passing, in insulated relation, through the aperture of the stator. To decrease the initial capacitance, to improve tracking and accuracy of positioning, the aperture of the stator has a bushing of low dielectric material fitted therein, for example of Teflon, the rotor disk likewise having a similar bushing fitted in the central opening, and the metallic shaft being retained in the rotor bushing and passing through the stator bushing, so that the metallized portions of the stator are additionally spaced by the width of the bushing from the metal shaft of the rotor and, due to the better bearing characteristics of the bushing, tracking is improved.

摘要： A trimmer capacitor having coarse and fine adjustments. The trimmer is made up of a common stator element and two rotor elements cooperating with respective trimmer adjustment elements to vary the capacitance of each individual capacitor composed of each one of said rotor elements and said common electrode. For large overall capacitances, one rotor element has a large capacitance, for coarse adjustment, whereas the other rotor element is of small capacitance for fine adjustment, the two rotor elements being connected in parallel with the common stator element. And for small overall capacitances, one rotor element has a small capacitance for coarse adjustment whereas the other rotor element is of large capacitance, for fine adjustment, the two rotor elements being connected in series with the common stator element.

摘要： A potentiometer is designed to allow ease of location in an aperture on a circuit board. The contact track (3) is formed on the surface of a substrate (1) and the ends of track are terminated in two connecting strips (4,5). The slider pick up (18) is mounted on a centre pin that is axially biased by a spring cup washer. The outer edges of the contact plate (10,11) are tapered and locate in an aperture on a circuit card (8). Soldered connections may be made to the connecting strips (4,5).

摘要： The capacitor consists of an insulating support (1) with one surface partly covered by a capacitor electrode. Over this support is rotatably mounted a dielectric disc, carrying a partial capacitor electrode on the side away from its contact surface. The dielectric disc has a rotary axis, passing through the support, which electrically connects to the terminal electrode provided on the support side away from the capacitor electrode. Both the capacitor and the terminal electrodes are connected to a contact zone (14, 16) each on the insulating support. On the latter is provided an inserting latch (2). The contact zones are formed on opposite surfaces. Preferably the support is wider in the region adjacent to the latch base (3) than this base.

摘要： A fixed value resistor is designed for plug-in mounting on a circuit board. The resistor is formed by a deposition of a metal and/or metal oxide (9) on a suitable substrate (2). Connecting strips (5,6) are coupled to the resistor and are formed on a tapered section (10). The complete resistor is encapsulated within a layer of insulating resin. The tapered section of the resistor facilitates direct mounting with an aperture in a circuit card. Soldered connections may be made to the connecting strips. The metal oxide film may be secured onto the substrate either mechanically or by laser beam welding.
