    • A housing for an electronic tuner or the like comprises: a shield frame defining a space to house circuitry, and an auxiliary base plate enclosing one side of the space left open by the frame and preferably serving to shield the circuitry in cooperation with the shield frame. A novel structure is disclosed for mechanically securing the auxiliary base plate to the shield frame simply and in such a manner that the auxiliary base plate can be easily removed if necessary. The frame and the auxiliary base plate engage each other elastically and resiliently by means of tongues, apertures and/or notches. No special step of either soldering or bending the auxiliary base plate or shield frame with pliers, etc., is required to maintain the parts in position. One or more shield plates may be supported by the auxiliary base plate and the shield frame and divide the space into sections.

    • A connector for an edge board or the like comprising an elongated body defining a card slot with opposed contact slots having an elongated backer frame secured thereto. The lower ends of the body and the backer frame each have a plurality of V-shaped slots formed therein which extend upwardly therein and which are aligned with alternate contact slots. The V-shaped slots of the body define V-shaped projections therebetween. The V-shaped slots of the backer frame also define V-shaped projections therebetween which are adapted to be received in the V-shaped slots of the body with the V-shaped projections of the body being received by the V-shaped slots of the backer frame. Contacts are mounted in predetermined contact slots for electrical contact with the card positioned therein. The lower ends of the contacts extend downwardly through the V-shaped slots and extend downwardly from the body and backer frame. During the assembly of the connector, the body and the backer frame may be cut to provide the proper length connector.

    • A set of closely spaced, parallel conductive lines on an insulating support are located in face to face electrical contact with a corresponding set of conductive lines on a second insulating support, and a new structure is provided for adjusting the two sets of lines to match properly despite variations in the spacing between the lines of a set. The first set of lines has close, even, spacing. In the second set, the lines converge slightly from a spacing that is wider than the spacing of the first set to a spacing that is narrower than the spacing of the first set. During assembly, the position where contact occurs between the two sets is adjusted so that satisfactory electrical contact is made between each pair of lines.
