    • A device used to indicate whether a predetermined compressive load has been applied to the device. The device is formed to receive an anchor member upon which a tensioning force is to be applied in conjunction with loading the device. The device itself has an upper press (3) that has an aperture formed to receive the anchor member (8) and also has means for manipulating a washer (4). The device also has a lower die (2) with an aperture formed to receive the anchor member. The lower die is formed so as to be able to work in conjunction with the upper press when the upper press and lower die are aligned and moved towards each other. The lower die also has means for manipulating the washer. The means for manipulating the washer are also formed to cooperate with the means for manipulating the washer on the upper press. The device also has a washer that lies between the upper press and the lower die. The washer is formed so that when the washer is acted upon by the means for manipulating the washer of the upper press and the lower die it will indicate visually whether a selected compression load has been applied to the washer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector tying together building structure members such as a foundation, columns, and beams, and, although economical in terms of production and installation, capable of withstanding catastrophic forces of an earthquake, typhoon, and the like better than those using techniques of the prior art. SOLUTION: This connector 1 comprises a recessed sheet member in which a hole for receiving through a locking member 4 is formed, a first side face member 5 coupled to the recessed sheet member, a second side face member coupled to the recessed sheet member, and a back member 7 coupled to the first side face member 5 and the second side face member. The connector 1 is attached to a first building structure member 11 such as a stud at the back member 7 by a wooden screw 10, and is attached to a second building structure member 21 such as a foundation by the locking member 4. Since the sheet member is recessed, the connector 1 can be fabricated from thin galvanized sheet iron in a conventional facility and does not require secondary machining. Installation of the connector 1 can be achieved simply by access from the front.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jointing tool capable of allowing economical fabrication an installation, and withstanding higher tension by installing the jointing tool for connecting a first building structural member to a second building structural member via fastening means and an anchor member used in common. SOLUTION: A jointing tool 1 is formed out of a hole 3 for passing an anchor, a first side member connected to a recessed seat member 2, a second side member 6, and a back member 7 connected to the first side member and the second side member 6. The jointing tool 1 is installed, with the back member 7 secured to a first building structural member 11 via fastening means 10. Also, an anchor member 4 is formed out of an anchor bolt 23 and holding means 22, and the far end 32 of the anchor bolt 23 is buried in a second building structural member 21, while the near end 33 thereof forms the threaded part of the holding means 22. When the first building structural member 11 is made of wood, the fastening means 10 should preferably be a wooden screw, but a nail and a threaded bolt with a nut may be used. As a result, a jointing tool capable of allowing economical fabrication as well as withstanding higher tension can be provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively improve tensile force and contrive the improvement of durability for earthquake or the like by being connected to a fastener to connect a side member to a rear member attached to a building construction member, and receiving an anchor member with regard to a plurality of the anchor receiving members connected to the side member to attach a connector to the building construction member. SOLUTION: A connector 1 connecting a structure member 2 to a structure member 3 in cooperation with a fastener 4 and an anchor member 5 is constituted of side members 7, 8 and anchor receiving members 9, 10 connected to a rear member 6 joined to the fastener 4 for being attached to the structure member 2. The anchor receiving members 9, 10 laterally extend between the side members 7, 8, are connected to the side members 7, 8, the anchor member 5 is disposed so that it is penetrated for attaching the connector 1 to the building structure member 3 between the anchor receiving members 9, 10 and a receiving space can exist. A washer member 16 disposed on the arrangement support face of the anchor receiving members 9, 10 is mounted over the space between the anchor receiving members 9, 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a specific design load by which a wall in a building can endure lateral force applied to the wall by arranging a shearing resistant assembly between an upper frame of the building and a structural element existing below through a connecting means. SOLUTION: A shearing resistant assembly 9 has a flat shearing resistant element 10 composed of this side surface, the rear surface 12, the upper edge 13, the lower edge 14 and the first/second side edges 15, 16, and also has an upper support material 17, a lower support material, a first chord, a second chord 20 to form a support frame for the shearing resistant element 10 by being connected to a front face in the respective vicinities of the upper edge 13, the lower edge 14 and the first/second side edges 15, 16 of the shearing resistant element 10 to be connected to the shearing resistant element 10 by a means 21. This shearing resistant assembly 9 is incorporated into a wall 1 by fixing an upper frame fastener having the screw part to a structural element existing under a building by going past a lower frame of the wall by a footing anchor after being inserted into an upper frame of the wall through the upper support material 17 so as to be connected to an upper plate of the wall 1 and the structural element existing under the building to thereby realize a wall structure endurable to lateral force applied to the wall.
