    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of higher harmonics and self-exciting phenomena to the rotating shaft of a motor by using no electric circuit so that the maintenance and management of an air conditioner may become easier and the manufacturing cost of the conditioner may be reduced by connecting a supply fan to a driving source through a continuously variable speed changing means using a mechanical speed changing mechanism. SOLUTION: In the right chamber of a central air conditioner 1, a filter, a humidifier, etc., are incorporated and, in the left chamber of the conditioner 1, a supply fan 16 which supplies air to each chamber through a duct 17 and a motor 18 are arranged. Supply air C which is adjusted to a prescribed temperature and humidity by taking in outside air A and return air B is carried to each chamber through the duct 17 and supplied to each chamber as new air D from the air outlet of a variable air volume unit by means of the fan 16. The motor 18 which is rotated at a low speed is used for driving the fan 16 and the rotating shaft of the motor 18 is connected to a continuously variable transmission 4 using a mechanical mechanism as the input shaft 181 of the transmission 4. The output shaft 161 of the transmission 4 is connected to the rotating shaft of the fan 16. When the fan 16 is rotated, the supply air C is supplied to each chamber as new air D through the duct 17 and air outlet.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both processing accuracy and operation efficiency. SOLUTION: A first bent portion F which has an L-shaped section is formed on an edge of a side plate 2 of a spiral casing 1. A second bent portion S is formed on an edge of a peripheral plate 3 of the spiral casing 1 for receiving and locking the first bent portion F in a slip-off preventive shape. A plurality of projection 12 are projected on a flange 10 of the first bent portion F toward an inner space M of the casing. The second bent portion S is made up of a first bent-back portion 14, a receiving portion 15 having a U-shaped section for receiving the flange 10, and a second bent-back portion 16 engaged with the projections 12. The bent-back portions 14, 16 are pressurized to the flange 10 in the state that the flange 10 is inserted into the receiving portion 15, then the first and second bent portions F and S are then meshed with each other in an airtight condition, and the projections 12 are received by the second bent- back portion 16.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a right/left side of a scroll damper from being deformed to the outside by providing an adjusting means capable of dividing the scroll damper into a plurality of pieces and independently deforming a free end of each scroll damper. CONSTITUTION:In each of a plate-like scroll damper 3 for varying an area of an opening of an air discharge port 12 to adjust a discharge air quantity, that is, ventilation quantity, one end thereof is fixed to the inside of a housing 1 and a nut 4 is welded and fixed in such a manner that a threaded hole thereof coincides with a hole bored at a center part of a free end side thereof. By rotating an end, protruding from the housing 1, of a screw shaft 5 which is screw-engaged with this nut 4 and of which one end is pivotally supported on a flange part of an air discharge port 12, by means of a handle or the like, a free end of the scroll damper 3 is deformed to vary an air discharge area of the air discharge port 12 so as to adjust a ventilation quantity. By increasing the number of divisions of one scroll damper, apparent strength of the scroll damper is increased in accordance with this number and deformation is completely prevented.
