摘要： A logic device includes a ceramic superconducting element (4) having magneto-resistive characteristics, and three electrodes (12, 14, 16) provided adjacent the ceramic superconducting element, and constructed in such a manner that a current is applied to one of the three electrode so that a magnetic field greater than a threshold magnetic field (H0) is normally applied to the ceramic superconducting element (4), and the other electrodes (14, 16) are used for increasing and decreasing the magnetic field. A memory device includes a superconducting loop (46, 48) at least one portion thereof being formed by a ceramic superconducting element (46) having grain boundaries, and an electrode (44) provided in approximation to said ceramic superconducting element (46), whereby a current flowing through a portion (48) of said superconducting loop which is other than said ceramic superconducting element (46) can be captured in said superconducting loop by a control of a magnetic field generated by the current flowing through said electrode (44).

摘要： An air conditioning apparatus incorporates an ion generating device that generates positive and negative ions by applying an alternating-current voltage between electrodes. The generated positive and negative ions coexist in the air and, when they attach to the surfaces of airborne bacteria, they react chemically with each other and generate radical hydroxyl and hydrogen peroxide, which extract hydrogen atoms from the cells of the bacteria and thereby kill them. This sterilizing effect is combined with the temperature-conditioning, dehumidifying, humidifying, air-purifying, and other functions of the air conditioning apparatus to bring about a comfortable and healthful indoor environment.

摘要： A superconducting apparatus has a superconducting element (1), which is a member to be cooled and which exhibits a superconducting phenomenon; an electronic cooling element (2) composed of a cooling electrode (8) provided to the superconducting element (1) via an insulating layer (6), p-type and n-type semiconductor layers (2a, 2b) formed to be connected to the cooling electrode (8), heat-radiation electrodes (7) provided to the semiconductor layers (2a, 2b) independently of each other, and a heat-radiation plate (5) provided to the heat-radiation electrodes (7) via the insulating layer (6); lead wires (11, 9) for electrically connecting the superconducting element (1) and the electronic cooling element to external circuits, respectively. The superconducting element (1) and the electronic cooling element, which are integrally packaged, are installed within the first container (3). Internally sealed by an inert gas atmosphere, the first container (3) is installed within the second container (4). The second container (4) is internally sealed in a vacuum state.

摘要： A copper substrate (1) is immersed into a solution (2) in which a Y-Ba-Cu-O series oxide superconducting fine powder is dispersed into an acetone solution and an electric field is applied thereto. A coating deposited on the copper substrate (1) by electrophoresis is sintered with high temperature in vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere and then subjected to heat-treatment for oxygen composition ratio in an atmosphere of oxygen or air under 500°C. This method prevents occurrence of a CuO layer, which would conventionally be formed at an interface between a Y-Ba-Cu-O film and a Cu substrate disadvantageously, and moreover enables fabrication of superconducting coatings having satisfactory characteristics.
