    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and apparatus for performing a handover in a digital broadcasting system.
      SOLUTION: In the present invention, the method includes: measuring a strength of a received signal from a serving broadcast transmitter during a reception of a broadcast service; comparing the strength of a received signal with a reference value; periodically measuring the strength of a received signal while continuously receiving the broadcast service if the strength of a received signal is larger than the reference value and transmitting a request message requesting a start of execution of a handover procedure of a broadcasting system to a mobile communication base station if the strength of a received signal is smaller than the reference value; and executing the handover procedure from the serving broadcast transmitter to a target broadcast transmitter upon receipt of an acceptance message for an execution of a handover of the broadcasting system from the mobile communication base station. Thereby, an error of a handover is reduced and an execution time of a handover can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal which executes visible-ray short-distance communication, by utilizing a camera instrument and in which an LED and a camera sensor which are used for camera functionalities are made usable for an interface device for visible-ray short-distance communication in the radio terminal equipped with a camera.
      SOLUTION: The radio terminal contains the LED part for supplying light, an LED driver for controlling the operation of the LED part, and a camera sensor part which senses a light signal, converts it to an electrical signal and transmits the electrical signal. The radio terminal further includes a data processing part which processes data, which are transmitted through visible-ray short-distance communication and data which are received through the visible-ray short-distance communication; a modulation part which converts the data to be transmitted which have been transmitted through the data processing part to an electrical signal which is suitable for optical wireless communication system and transmits the signal to the LED driver; and a demodulation part which demodulates the electrical signal transmitted from the camera sensor part into data by the optical wireless communications system and transmits the data to the data processing part.
