    • A fuel evaporator is provided to easily interrupt evaporation of fuel, thereby promptly controlling turn-on or -off of power generation while inhibiting waste of fuel. A fuel evaporator(120) comprises: a fuel reservoir; an evaporator assembly(130) including a pair of plates(131,135) stacked on the fuel reservoir while being spaced therefrom, wherein each plate has a plurality of through holes(134,138) for evaporation and the through holes of one plate and those of the other plate cross each other; and a selectively interruptible power supply section(150) connected to the plates for forming a potential difference between both plates. In the fuel evaporator, when the plates get access to each other and are in contact with each other due to the electrostatic force caused by the potential difference formed between both plates, the through holes crossing each other are closed.
