SOLUTION: This method includes the steps of: establishing a connection between a signaling radio network controller (SRNC) and a mobile station; receiving and storing a device master session key (D-MSK) for device authentication of a mobile station from an authentication server that completes extensible authentication protocol (EAP) negotiation to the SRNC when the EAP authentication is triggered by a base station; using a user-MSK (U-MSK) received from the authentication server for the user authentication of the mobile station to receive and store a root-MSK (R-MSK) generated by an access gateway to the SRNC; generating a pairwise master key (PMK) using at least one of D-MSK and R-MSK; and generating by at least one of the SRNC and the base station, a key set to be used for at least one of data encryption, data integrity check and session management using the PMK.
