摘要： A composition for cleaning hard surfaces which is self-adhering to a wet or dry hard surface through a plurality of flows of water thereover. The composition is a gel having a viscosity of about 600,000 cP to about 1,500,000 cP and is capable of being manually applied, i.e., in absence of an applicating dispenser, to a hard surface. The gel composition with high viscosity provides for continuous cleaning until depletion, or may be used for one-time cleaning at any time between application of the composition to a hard surface and depletion of the gel composition.

In some embodiments, the self-adhering cleaning block includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a handle extending out from a part of the second surface, where the material composition of the block may be essentially uniform, and where the material composition of the block may further comprise a non-ionic surfactant and a liquid component. In addition, a cleaning article including a self-adhering cleaning block is disclosed. Moreover, a method is disclosed. In certain examples the method comprises mixing a non-ionic surfactant and a liquid component to form an essentially uniform cleaning composition, and then extruding, pressing or casting the cleaning composition to form a cleaning block having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a handle extending out from a part of the second surface.

摘要： A cleaning apparatus and a method of using the cleaning apparatus to clean a surface is provided. The cleaning apparatus can include a release material having a first half and a second half. The first half and the second half can be wrapped around a self-adhesive material and can be configured to release the self-adhesive material when the self-adhesive material is applied to a surface. After the self-adhesive material is secured to the surface for a predetermined period, a shear force required to remove the product from the surface may be increased. Packaging may include instructions indicating to a user to wait a predetermined time period prior to using the self-adhesive material as a manual cleaning agent. The predetermined time period prior to using the self-adhesive material as a manual cleaning agent can be approximately 24 hours.

摘要： An applicator (100), related applicator system, and a method for delivering a self-adhesive material are provided. The applicator (100) includes an outer surface (120), and an inner surface (110) opposite the outer surface (120). The inner surface (110) of the applicator (100) defines a void (114) that is operable to receive the self-adhesive material (130). At least a portion of the inner surface (110) releasably adhere the applicator side of the self-adhesive material where the adhesive force between the portion of the inner surface and the applicator side being less than adhesive force between the substrate and the substrate side. The applicator (110) is used by placing the applicator (100) in contact with a substrate, pressing the applicator (100) against the substrate such that the self-adhesive material (130) adheres to the substrate, and releasing the applicator (110) from the substrate.

摘要： A device (10) for applying controlled unitized doses of a flowable material to a surface is disclosed. The device includes a tubular body (20) and a plunger (60). The body has a wall (21) defining a cavity (24), and the body has a first open end (25) and an opposite second end (26) having a dispensing orifice (28). A flowable material is contained in the cavity of the body. The plunger has an outer sleeve (62) dimensioned for surrounding at least a section the body and an inner pushing structure (80) dimensioned for axial movement in the cavity of the body. The device has means for indexed positioning of the second end of the body and an inner end of the inner pushing structure of the plunger relative to each other to provide controlled unitized doses of the flowable material to a surface when the plunger is moved toward the body by a user's hand.
