    • A monofilament of a thermoplastic resin having a high tenacity is produced by a process in which a monofilament is melt spun at a temperature of 220.degree. C. to 310.degree. C. from a thermoplastic resin through a nozzle having a cross-sectional area S (mm.sup.2) satisfying the following equations: ##EQU1## wherein I is a maximum cross-sectional secondary moment max (Ix, Iy) (i.e., the maximum secondary moment in the cross-sectional secondary moments with respect to the main x axis and y axis passing through the center of the gravity of the cross-section); and, then, is subjected to a multi-stage stretching under the conditions satisfying the following equations: ##EQU2## wherein i is a number of stretching stages, e is a base of natural logarithm (i.e., 2.71828), V.sub.1 is the first take-off linear velocity (m/min), V.sub.i+1 is the final take-off linear velocity (m/min) at the i-stretching stage, DR.sub.Ti is the total stretching ratio at the i-stretching stage, DR.sub.Tiw is the DR.sub.Ti from which the monofilament begins to become whitened at the i-stretching stage, T.sub.m is the melting point of the thermoplastic resin and .theta..sub.i is the temperature of the filament at the i-stretching stage.

    • According to one embodiment, a POS terminal includes a printer, a display, a screen display section, a selection operation input section, and an issue section. The printer prints and issues a receipt related to a commodity transaction. The display displays information. The screen display section displays, on the display, a selection screen for selecting an information item to be printed on the receipt. The selection-operation input section selects, according to selection operation in the selection screen displayed by the screen display section, the information item to be printed on the receipt. The issue section issues a receipt on which the information item selected by the selection-operation input section is printed and an information item not selected by the selection-operation input section is not printed.

    • The invention aims at providing a solid electrolytic capacitor having a high capacitance and a small equivalent series resistance (ESR) and a method for manufacturing the same. A solid electrolytic capacitor includes: an anode 1 made of a valve metal or an alloy thereof; a dielectric layer 2 provided on the surface of the anode 1; a first coupling agent layer 3 made of a coupling agent having a molecular structure in which at least two phosphonic acid groups are bonded via an alkyl group, the first coupling agent layer 3 being provided on the dielectric layer; a first conductive polymer layer 4 provided on the first coupling agent layer 3; and a cathode layer 11 provided on or above the first conductive polymer layer 4.
