摘要： Azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## wherein D is an aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic diazo component radical,R is hydrogen or optionally substituted hydrocarbyl, heterocyclyl or amino,R" is quaternized nitrogen-containing heterocyclyl,R.sub.1 is hydrogen or cyano,R.sub.2 is optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or heterocyclyl,Y is a divalent bridge member,K.sub.1.sup..sym. is optionally substituted ammonium, hydrazinium or quaternized nitrogen-containing heterocyclyl,m is 1 or 2,r is 0 or 1, andA.sup..crclbar. is an anion.The Y.sub.r -K.sub.1.sup..sym. group is preferably attached to the nitrogen atom of the pyridone ring or to the diazo component radical D. These dyes are well-suited for dyeing and printing textiles which consist of or contain fibers of polyacrylonitrile or acrylonitrile copolymers as well as polyamides and polyesters that have been modified to contain acid groups. The obtained dyeings are level and exhibit good fastness to light and wet treatments as well as organic solvents and are stable to boiling and pH conditions.

摘要： New stilbene derivatives of formula: ##SPC1##In whichR.sub.1 signifies a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a lower alkyl group;R.sub.2 signifies a hydrogen atom; a cycloalkyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more lower alkyl groups; or a lower alkyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by a hydroxyl, lower alkoxy or hydroxysubstituted lower alkoxy group or by a radical of formula (a); ##SPC2##M signifies a hydrogen atom or an equivalent of a colourless cation;n signifies 1 or 2; Alkylene signifies C.sub.1.sub.-8 alkylene;And the rings A and B are unsubstituted or substituted by one or more substituents selected from halogen atoms and lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, cyano and SO.sub.3 M groups;The compound containing at least six SO.sub.3 M groups per molecule, are useful as optical brighteners. They are produced by successive condensation of each of the three amino-containing moieties around the triazine nucleus, as an amine, with a cyanuro halide. Their application, particularly in certain liquid preparations, for the optical brightening of paper and textiles is described.

摘要： Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is optionally substituted hydrocarbyl (alkyl or phenyl),R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or acylamino,R.sub.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy or substituted alkoxy,Each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 is independently hydrogen, alkyl or substituted alkyl,T is halo, nitro, cyano, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylsulfonyl, sulfamoyl or alkylsulfamoyl, andn is 0 to 3. These compounds are suitable for the dyeing and printing of textile materials. The dyeings obtained are extremely fast to thermofixation, sublimation, pleating, gas fumes, cross dyeing, rubbing, dry cleaning, chlorine, and wet treatments, such as water, washing and perspiration. The compounds of this invention and other phenylazo-phenyl compounds with an optionally substituted hydrocarbylsulfonyl group (R.sub.1-- SO.sub.2 --) on the diazo component radical in a position ortho to the azo group can be synthesized from the corresponding compounds having a halo atom or nitro group in this position by reaction with a compound of the formula H--SO.sub.2 --R.sub.1 or a salt thereof.
