    • Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is optionally substituted hydrocarbyl (alkyl or phenyl),R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or acylamino,R.sub.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy or substituted alkoxy,Each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 is independently hydrogen, alkyl or substituted alkyl,T is halo, nitro, cyano, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylsulfonyl, sulfamoyl or alkylsulfamoyl, andn is 0 to 3. These compounds are suitable for the dyeing and printing of textile materials. The dyeings obtained are extremely fast to thermofixation, sublimation, pleating, gas fumes, cross dyeing, rubbing, dry cleaning, chlorine, and wet treatments, such as water, washing and perspiration. The compounds of this invention and other phenylazo-phenyl compounds with an optionally substituted hydrocarbylsulfonyl group (R.sub.1-- SO.sub.2 --) on the diazo component radical in a position ortho to the azo group can be synthesized from the corresponding compounds having a halo atom or nitro group in this position by reaction with a compound of the formula H--SO.sub.2 --R.sub.1 or a salt thereof.

    • Systems and related methods for separating liquids and particulate from a flowing gas stream include a separation vessel containing a liquid injector, an impingement separator or a helical impingement separator, and a waste liquid recovery tank. Separated liquid and particulate collect in a sump, flow into a recovery tank, and may be filtered in a side stream duplex filter circuit for return into the recovery tank and re-injection into the separation vessel. The helical separator element has outwardly extending helical fins that form helical gas channels. The interior of the channels forms a rounded radius and opposing vertical edges of the channels include chamfers. The lower end of the helical separator element forms a concave, generally conical surface. The helical fins form a first impingement separator and the chamfers form a second vane-type impingement separator, such that particulate and liquids may be removed from the gas stream at varying flow rates and liquid/particulate densities.

    • A method for selecting an optimum time period from an inventory of available time periods, where each time period has a predetermined duration including selected and unselected time portions and an associated cost includes determining the total amount of time in each time period and the total amount of unselected time in each time period. A calculation is made for each time period to generate an inventory utilization index ratio based upon the total amount of time in each time period divided by the total amount of unselected time remaining in each time period. A table is prepared for all time periods in the inventory ranked numerically by the inventory utilization index ratio. A cost range is determined for each of the costs associated with each of the time periods. The table of time periods in the inventory is revised by removing time periods from the inventory which are not within the desired cost range. A time period is selected from the table based upon the ranking of the time period. Information related to the selected time period is stored as containing selected time in the time period inventory.
