摘要： A system and method for managing content between different client devices in various domains (such as vehicle, home, and person). The system and method includes a user interface, a wireless transceiver, and a controller. The user interface is used to receive an input form a user to change the presentation of the content from a first client device to a second client device. The wireless transceiver is capable of wirelessly transmitting the input from the user through the communication system. The controller is responsive to the input from the user and used to determine a content format for the second device. The controller may also be used for determining whether the second device has a network capability for accessing the content format. Depending on the determinations made by the controller, the controller will transmit a data message to the second device to activate access to the content if the second device has the network capability for accessing the content format. On the other hand, the controller will obtain the content and transmit the obtained content to the second device if the second device does not have the network capability for accessing the content format.

The node includes a Rapid Response Stack loaded with the predetermined message to respond to any network bus request before the application is up and running. In one embodiment, methods and systems are disclosed for modifying communications broadcast within a vehicle. In one embodiment, the volume of the broadcast communications are scaled or modified in a manner to indicate the distance of the recipient of the communications. In another embodiment, broadcast communications are selectively broadcast through those speakers that are closest to the recipient of the communications in accordance with the angular orientation of the vehicle to the recipient. In another embodiment, the distance or angular orientation of the recipient is displayed on a user interface in the vehicle. In yet another embodiment, only the speakers are engaged in the vehicle that is nearest to the passenger that initiates the communication with the recipient.

摘要： A system and method for providing content from a source to a vehicle is disclosed. The content is restricted by associating the content with at least one requirement for vehicle information from a vehicle to which the content is provided. When restricted content is requested, a vehicle system obtains vehicle related information from the vehicle. The vehicle information is transferred to the vehicle system from the source, and the restricted content is transferred from the source to the vehicle system. The vehicle system, the source, or both determine whether the vehicle information meets the at least one requirement restricting the content. As long as the requirement for vehicle information is met, processing of the restricted content is allowed.
