摘要： A multi-protocol wireless communication baseband transceiver includes a baseband transmit processing module and a baseband receive processing module. The baseband transmit processing module includes an encoding module, an interleaving module, a plurality of symbol mapping modules, a plurality of domain conversion modules, a plurality of cyclic prefix modules, a plurality of compensation modules, and a control module that is operably coupled to produce preamble set up information and payload set up information based on a mode of a plurality of protocol modes. The baseband receive processing module includes a plurality of receive compensation modules, a plurality of cyclic prefix removal modules, a plurality of receive domain conversion modules, an equalizing module, a plurality of demapping modules, a deinterleaving module, a decoding module, and a receive control module that is operably coupled to determine the mode from the plurality of protocol modes and the compensation control signals based on the at least one compensated stream of symbols.

摘要： An integrated circuit radio transceiver and method therefor is operable to flexibly and efficiently de-interleave a received communication signal by initially changing a received signal from the time domain to the frequency domain to generate a plurality of tones that are then rearranged in a first de-interleaving step to an order expected by a downstream decoder. Thereafter, the tones are detected to generate a soft bit sequence and are then reverse-swizzled and de-interleaved. The de-interleaving step is performed in a manner that compensates for row/column offset interleaving performed by a transmitter that transmitted the received signal being processed.

Subsequently, the transceiver and method are operable to swizzle interleaved and frequency rotated data bits extracted from the table. In one embodiment, the swizzling begins at a selectable and specified phase value. Further, a stream parser is configurable to produce any number of output streams based upon any number of input streams.

The baseband transmit processing module is operably coupled to encode outbound data into outbound baseband signals in accordance with one of a plurality of encoding protocols. The mixing module is operably coupled to convert the outbound baseband signals into outbound radio frequency signals. The power amplifier is operably coupled to amplify the outbound RF signals prior to transmission to produce amplified outbound RF signals. The transmit power sense module is operably coupled to sense the amplified outbound RF signals to provide a transmit signal strength indication (TSSI). The transmit power control module is operably coupled to adjust gain of the baseband transmit processing module, the mixing module, and/or the power amplifier based on the TSSI and the particular encoding protocol used to produce the baseband signals.
