摘要： An apparatus for applying a viscous modification material includes a material source of the modification material and a needle connected to the source. A material for selectively modifying the optical properties of cells comprises a basic material and a modification substance distributed in the basic material at a prescribed concentration, wherein the basic material comprises a viscous fluid, a gel, a two-dimensional or three-dimensional porous substrate or a material which hardens in situ. A diagnostic apparatus for determining the optical properties of cells which have been exposed to such a material and an apparatus for irradiating cells whose optical properties have been differently modified with such a material are also provided.

摘要： The invention relates to a confocal microendoscope, in which the diameter of optical fibres at the proximal end (8) of an optical fibre bundle (9) is greater than at the distal end (15). This permits the efficiency of coupling the light of a light source to be increased, without reducing the resolution of the microendoscope. In addition, the proximal ends (8) of the optical fibres (10) are arranged in a grid, for example, by means of a fibre receiving unit (11) that holds the individual optical fibres. A microlens unit (13) can also be provided, said unit allocating a microlens (14) to each optical fibre end.

摘要： An endoscope has a video device arranged at the distal end of the endoscope shaft. The video device is connected by means of a transmission system to a supply unit arranged at the proximal end of the endoscope shaft. The video device is provided with a lens for imaging an object field and an illumination unit. The lens and the image recorder are combined into a video unit which is held in such a movable manner at the endoscope shaft that the outer contour of the cross-section of the video unit lays essentially within the outer contour of the cross-section of the distal end of the endoscope shaft when being introduced into the cavity to be examined.
