    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper for suppressing relative vibration between two suspension wires with frictional resistance between members. SOLUTION: In the damper 1, two suspension wires M suspended so as to support different trolley wires downward and extend substantially in parallel are interconnected, and the relative vibration between the two suspension wires M is suppressed by the frictional resistance between the members.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting hanger ear for electric overhead wire having a function for electrically connecting a hanging wire and a trolley wire, capable of reducing a number of components, and capable of facilitating handling such as mounting.
      SOLUTION: The connecting hanger ear 1 equipped with a hanger bar 2 having a hook 2c for hooking the hanging wire M and an ear 3 for grasping the trolley wire T is provided with a clamp 4 for grasping the hanging wire M, a conductor 5 extending from the clamp 4, and a sleeve 6 for fixing the conductor 5 on the hanger bar 2. The trolley wire T is supported by the hanging wire M, and the trolley wire T is electrically connected to the hanging wire M through the conductor 5 and the hanger bar 2. By fixing the clamp 4 on the hanging wire M while play is maintained without stretching the conductor 5, the conductor 5 flexibly follows the hanger bar 2 even when the trolley wire T is pushed up by passing of a pantograph. Thus, the electric current can be supplied from the hanging wire M to the trolley wire T through the conductor 5 regardless of the quality of the electric connection state of the hook 2c to the hanging wire M.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device for a trolley wire with a damper function free from frequent maintenance, inspection and member replacement, easily manufacturable and relatively inexpensively obtainable.
      SOLUTION: The suspension device 1 for a trolley wire T has a cylindrical nonmagnetic casing 5 with one end coupled to a catenary line M and the other end provided with an opening 5d. A cylindrical housing 6 is disposed in the casing 5. The housing 6 consists of a magnetic substance and has longitudinal slots 6a, which enable it to contract radially. A piston 7 is relatively axially movably inserted in the housing 6 and urged upward by a spring 8. A rod part 7b is extended outward through the opening 5d and then coupled to the trolley wire T. The piston 7 has a magnetically attractive part 7a excited by permanent magnets 7c to magnetically attract an inner circumference of the housing 6. The magnetically attractive part 7a contracts the housing 6 to hold the piston 7 and thus damp a relative movement between the piston 7 and the housing 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanger ear having an effective vibration control function corresponding to high speed operation of an electric railcar, easy adjustment of damping force, and hardly affected by secular change and environmental variation.
      SOLUTION: The hanger ear 1 is provided with a hanger bar 2 latched onto catenary wire by an upper end part, and an ear 3 grasping trolley wire T at a lower end side of the hanger bar 2. The hanger bar 2 is provided with a support member 4, a conductor plate 6, a spring 7, and a permanent magnet 8. The support member 4 is latched onto the catenary wire M via a hanger 5 in an upper part. The conductor plate 6 is engaged to the support member 4 so as to relatively move in a vertical direction within a predetermined range, and it is coupled to the ear 3 via a connecting rod 9 in a lower part. The spring 7 is inserted between the support member 4 and the conductor plate 6, and it vertically energizes the conductor plate 6 so that the conductor plate 6 is maintained in a predetermined relative vertical position to the support member 4. At least one pair of the permanent magnets 8 is provided facing each other near the conductor plate 6 so as to hold it in between and fixed on the support member 4 so that opposing face sides are mutually opposite magnetic poles. Vibration of the trolley wire T is absorbed by generating an eddy current, and at the same time, a damping resistance in the conductor plate 6 moving so as to intersect a magnetic flux of the permanent magnets 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate position where inspection is impossible just before or after the obstacle by running over an obstacle such as a wire connection sleeve. SOLUTION: In this wire inspection device 1, a running distance from a base point is measured by a rotary encoder 30, while it runs on a wire W by means of rollers 12, 13 for detecting a damaged condition of the wire W by damage detectors 21, 22 provided with eddy current sensors. For a sleeve S as an obstacle on the wire W, its back end is detected by a sensor 31, and its forward end is detected by a sensor 32. First, the damage detector 21 is placed on an inspection position, with the damage detector 22 placed on a retraction position, so the wire W is inspected by the damage detector 21 only while it runs. As the back end of the sleeve S is detected by the sensor 31, the damage detector 21 is retracted upward at a position close to the back end. After passing the sleeve S to detect the forward end by the sensor 32, the front and the back damage detectors 21, 22 are both restored, and inspection is restarted. The damage detector 22 starts inspection at a position close to the forward end of the sleeve S. After running for a specified distance, the damage detector 22 is retracted upward, and inspection is performed by the damage detector 21 only.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric traction inspection device which stably runs tracking unevenness and mutual vertical/lateral positional relative fluctuation in a hung line or a feeder so as to provide a high quality inspection result. SOLUTION: An electric traction inspection device 1 is provided with driving carriages 2, 3 on a feeder B, a sensor unit 4, a driven carriage 5 on a hung line A, and a sensor unit 6. Both of the hung line A and the feeder B serve as power supply lines. A driving roller 8 rolling on the feeder B is journalled with a frame 7 for the driving carriages 2, 3 so as to be driven by means of a motor 9. The sensor unit 4, which is connected to the driving carriages 2, 3 by means of a connecting mechanism 18, can be freely rotated relatively in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction and can be freely displaced relatively in the vertical direction. A driven roller 23 rolling on the hung line A is journalled with a frame 22 for the driven carriage 5. The driven carriage 5, which is connected to the sensor unit 4 by means of a connecting mechanism 24, can be freely rotated relatively in the vertical direction and can be freely displaced relatively in the vertical direction and in the opposing direction. The sensor units 4, 6 are provided with flaw detectors 15, 28 detecting a flaw in the feeder B and the hung line A by means of eddy current.
