摘要： The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software related product (e.g., a computer readable memory) for configuring a detection of a E- PHICH (or PHICH in general) in DL for monitoring a PUSCH to reduce resource reservation for the PHICH and correspondingly reduce an impact on detection of (E-)PDCCH and (E-)PDSCH, e.g., in LTE-A systems. The UEs may be configured (e.g., by an eNB) to detect E-PHICH or not to detect: the configuration can be not to detect E-PHCIH at all, or always to detect it, or to detect only in some subframes. The configuration may be UE specific or common to a group of UEs. If a UE is configured not to detect E-PHICH in a DL subframe #n, and if according to the defined HARQ timing the UE needs to detect a HARQ-ACK information in the same subframe, then the UE will try to detect UL and/or DL grant in the subframe #n which will provide the desired HARQ (or ACK/NACK/DTX) information.

摘要： A user equipment UE is configured with an integer value N which defines an effective data rate. The network sends to the UE a grant for uplink transmissions that comprises a resource indication field that allocates N channels each having a same predetermined uplink format and payload capacity. The UE sends N bit sequences on the respective N channels, each bit sequence comprising data and the same predetermined uplink format. In various embodiments: the network specifically configures the UE to receive the predetermined format of the grant; the grant may have an indicator whether the channels are for new data and for the MCS to use; the N channels may be in a same or in adjacent sub frames regardless of the value of N; and there is one MAC header for all the N channels which the network reads as a single MAC PDU.

摘要： Methods, apparatus and computer program products provide channel state information (CS1) measurement and reporting for a segment carrier in certain situations. An apparatus such as a base station may determine whether CSI is needed for a channel of a segment carrier comprising a segment portion and a contiguous bandwidth extension of a backward compatible carrier utilized by a base station for wireless communications with a mobile terminal. In response to determining that CSI is needed, the apparatus configures the mobile terminal to communicate channel state information from the mobile terminal to the base station. In other embodiments, an apparatus such as a mobile terminal is configured to receive configuration data indicating whether CSI is to be measured by the mobile terminal, and measuring the CSI and communicating the CSI to the base station in response to the configuration data.

A method and apparatus may generate a secondary component carrier transmission plan including planned on and off durations. The method and apparatus may also enable provision of the plan to the devices via a licensed band of a primary component carrier and detecting a medium of the unlicensed band prior to the expiration of the time period to determine whether the medium is available in order to decide whether to turn on transmissions to the unlicensed band after one of the planned off durations.
