摘要： Methods, apparatus and computer program products provide channel state information (CS1) measurement and reporting for a segment carrier in certain situations. An apparatus such as a base station may determine whether CSI is needed for a channel of a segment carrier comprising a segment portion and a contiguous bandwidth extension of a backward compatible carrier utilized by a base station for wireless communications with a mobile terminal. In response to determining that CSI is needed, the apparatus configures the mobile terminal to communicate channel state information from the mobile terminal to the base station. In other embodiments, an apparatus such as a mobile terminal is configured to receive configuration data indicating whether CSI is to be measured by the mobile terminal, and measuring the CSI and communicating the CSI to the base station in response to the configuration data.

摘要： A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided facilitating flexible time sharing among systems. A method and apparatus may generate a secondary component carrier transmission plan including planned on and off durations. The planned on durations correspond to a time period for an apparatus and devices to communicate via an unlicensed band of the secondary component carrier. The planned off durations correspond to a time interval in which the devices may deactivate from the unlicensed band or remain disconnected from the unlicensed band. The method and apparatus may also enable provision of the plan to the devices via a licensed band of a primary component carrier and detecting a medium of the unlicensed band prior to the expiration of the time period to determine whether the medium is available in order to decide whether to turn on transmissions to the unlicensed band after one of the planned off durations.

The method and apparatus may also determine that the beacon transmission status flag is set to authorize beacon transmissions and then cause non-cellular beacon signals to be repeatedly transmitted in accordance with the one or more beacon transmission parameters. The method and apparatus may also cause a device-to-device connection to be established following transmission of the beacon signals. The device-to-device connection may be either a non-cellular device-to-device connection or a cellular device-to-device connection.

摘要： A method to determine and recover from broken DL CC for unlicensed band LTE systems is described. The method includes determining, at a mobile device, whether a first DL CC on an unlicensed band is broken. In response to determining that the first DL CC is broken, an UL CC on the unlicensed band is selected based at least in part on the first DL CC and, a message including an indication that the first DL CC is broken is transmitted from the mobile device on the UL CC. The method includes receiving the message at the access node. The method also includes, in response to receiving the message, selecting at least one DL CC on the unlicensed band and transmitting recovery information from the access node on the at least one DL CC. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

An apparatus comprises a processing system and a memory storing a set of program instructions. 摘要： Methods, apparatus and computer program products configure a sounding reference signal (SRS) for a segment carrier that serves as a contiguous bandwidth extension of a component carrier, such as a component carrier that is backwards compatible with prior releases of a mobile terminal. In the context of a mobile terminal, the method receives a triggering message that identifies respective configurations of the SRSs for the component carrier and the associated segment carrier. The configuration of the SRS for the component carrier is different from the configuration of the SRS for the segment carrier. The method also causes the SRS to be transmitted in accordance with the respective configurations identified by the triggering message via uplink subframes of the component carrier and the segment carrier.
