    • PURPOSE:To make the inner surface of a guide way smooth and to reduce noise by setting up side wall panels along the side walls of the guide way, and by forming, in the side panels, elongated bolt insertion holes with which the position of each side panel can be adjusted vertically and widthwise. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a U-shape guideway composed of a runway 4 and both guideway side walls 7 and having a U-like cross-sectional shape, and side wall panels 2 in which propulsion guide coils 1 are embedded and which have smooth surfaces. Further, the side wall panels 2 are set up along the side walls 7 of the guideway, and an L-like part set along the lower part of the inside of each side wall panel 2 and the runway surface 4, and an L-like shape part set along the rear surface of each side wall panel 2 and the top surface of each of the guideway side wall 7 are fastened by L-like attach ing members 5, 6. Further are attached to the side wall panels 2, the L-like parts and L-like attaching members 5, 6 in which are formed elongated bolt insertion holes 15 with which the position of each side wall panel can be adjusted verti cally and widthwise of the guideway, are attached thereto and fastened by screws.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent rails from buckling, by fastening a pressure-receiving plate having the same length as the interval of crossties or larger at the end of the wooden crosstie with fixtures having a slot at the center thereof and a generally cranked shape. CONSTITUTION:An almost crank-shaped fixture 12 is inserted into a slot bored at the center of the corner of a pressure-receiving plate 11 having the same length with the pitch of crossties or longer to assemble a buckling preventive device 10. For this pressure-receiving plate 11, a structural L-shaped rolled steel in the market may be used. The external side of the vertical part 14 of the pressure-receiving plate 11 in the buckling preventive device 10 is pressed at the end 21 of a wooden crosstie 20, where ballast 40 are removed, by the vertical part 18 of the fixture 12 so that the upperface of the lower horizontal part 19 of the fixture 12 is made to contact the lowerface of the horizontal part 15 of the pressure-receiving plate 11 and the lowerface of the upper horizontal part 17 of the fixture 12 is made to contact with the upperface 22 of the wooden crosstie 20 and fixed with screw spikes 13. After the buckling preventive device 10 is fitted, ballast 40 is placed again to cover the horizontal part 15 of the pressure-receiving plate 11 and the weight of ballast is loaded with. In this way, the rail 30 can be prevented from buckling.
