摘要： Pure hydroxypropyltheophylline is produced by the catalytic reaction of theophylline with glycidol in the presence of a hydroxide of a short chain alcoholate of an alkali metal or an alkali metal salt of a pseudohydrohalic acid which has a readily polarizable anion. The catalyst is suitably employed in an amount between 0.01 and 0.2 moles per mole of theophylline. The dihydroxypropyltheophylline is obtained directly in the reaction in a high purity.

摘要： Guaiacol glycerine ether is obtained in very good yield and in very high purity by reacting glycidol with o-methyoxyphenol in the presence of an alkali hydroxide, an alkali alcoholate, an alkali cyanate or an alkali thiocyanate at 80.degree. to 150.degree. C. An especially effective purification of the crude product can be obtained by adding hydrogen peroxide, preferably prior to cooling.

摘要： There are used as antistatic agents for thermoplastic synthetic resins compounds of the formulae ##STR1## where R and R' are saturated alkyl groups in which the sum of the carbon atoms in the two alkyl groups is 4 to 30 carbon atoms and wherein one of R and R' can be hydrogen,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl with one to 5 carbon atoms, 2-hydroxyethyl, 2-hydroxypropyl, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl, benzyl o-,m- and/or p-methylbenzyl, o-,m- and/or p-chlorobenzyl, o-,m- and/or p-bromobenzyl, aminoalkyl (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6), preferably aminoalkyl (C.sub.2 and C.sub.3), alkyl (C.sub.1 to C.sub.6)-amino-alkyl (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6), 2-hydroxyethyl-aminoalkyl (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6), 2-hydroxypropyl-aminoalkyl (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6) or 2,3-dihydroxypropyl-aminoalkyl (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6),R.sup.3 in case the compound is present as the ammonium salt is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group with 1 to 5 carbon atoms,R.sup.4 is hydrogen or hydroxyl, andX.sup.- is a monovalent, inorganic or organic acid group or one equivalent of a polybasic inorganic or organic acid group.The antistatic compounds can be premixed with silica to give enhanced antistatic activity.
