    • A child-resistant safety closure is provided for closing the outlet of a hand-operated fluid product sprayer dispenser used on a container to prevent leaks from the container during periods of non-use and to resist accidental use by children or unwary adults. The closure cannot be moved from an "outlet closed" position to an "outlet open" position without the performance of at least two discrete, predetermined definite actions by the user to first disable a lock and then to linearly or rotatably move the cap into the "outlet open" position to permit spraying or dispensing. A closing member is connected to the bottom portion of the sprayer for removably mounting the sprayer to the container and closing the same. The member and the sprayer to which it is connected cannot be removed without the performance of at least two discrete, predetermined definite actions, which actions are difficult if not impossible for young children to perform.

    • The bipolar temporary pacing lead comprises a lead body having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion and including first and second spaced apart wire conductors each encased in an insulating material to form insulated wire conductors. A curved needle is connected to at least one of the first and second wire conductors in the lead body distal end portion. A straight needle is connected to a first elongate non-conductive member and a second elongate non-conductive member which are connected by means of first and second terminal sleeves to proximal ends of the first and second wire conductors. The distal end portion of the lead body has insulation removed from portions of the respective first and second insulated conductors thereby to form in the lead body distal end portion a first electrode-forming, bare wire conductor portion and a second electrode-forming, bare wire conductor portion.

    • A manually operated dispensing device for a container holding a quantity of liquid is disclosed. The device has a variable volume pump chamber within a component retaining body. The chamber is defined by a bellows having a closed end or bottom, an open end or top, and corrugated sidewalls characterized by their resilience or elastic memory, and fabricated of any of the various thermoplastics. The bellows is associated with a movable member in the form of a trigger which when actuated compressively stresses the bellows in a direction significantly to reduce its length and the volume of the chamber therewithin. When the compression stress applied by the actuating member or trigger is relieved or removed, the bellows regains its original size and shape and returns the actuating member to its initial position. Associated inlet and outlet valves and respective conduits are also incorporated in the device whereby liquid in the liquid container is drawn into the chamber and pumped through a discharge nozzle in the form of a spray, as desired. The alternate application and relief of compressive stress by the trigger or operating member also opens and closes the valves so that liquid can be drawn into the chamber and dispensed therefrom.

    • A body-implantable lead includes an electrical conductor encased in inert, insulating material. The lead terminates at one end with an exposed electrode tip. A first set of tines is positioned about the lead nearest the electrode tip, the tines having a length less than the tines of a second set positioned about the lead and more remote from the electrode tip than the first set. The tines of the first set may also carry fins which extend toward the electrode tip to facilitate lead insertion. The tines may also be disposed in longitudinal or spiral rows along the lead.

    • A manually operated dispensing device for a container holding a quantity of liquid is disclosed. The device has an internal chamber and a flexible, elastomeric diaphragm-like cover on at least one side of the chamber in a component retaining body. Associated inlet and outlet valves, which valves may be discrete or integral with the diaphragm and body, and conduits are included whereby liquid from a supply thereof in the container is drawn up into the chamber when the diaphragm is flexed under stress. The diaphragm is operatively associated with a trigger device, the actuation of which flexes and stresses the diaphragm in a direction to decrease the chamber volume. Liquid which is present in the chamber is displaced and pressurized in a pumping action, forcing the outlet or discharge valve to open and the inlet valve to close allowing the liquid to flow into the outlet or discharge conduit and be dispensed from the device. Alternate application and relief of the above described flexing or stressing action of the diaphragm by alternate actuation and release of the trigger causes the inlet and outlet valves to alternately open and close, and liquid to be drawn into the chamber and be dispensed therefrom.
