摘要： Find-grained material adapted to be fired in a rotary tube furnace is preheated by being introduced to a vertical chamber in which there is a heating zone at a level lower than that at which the material enters the chamber. Prior to reaching the heating zone fuel is added to the material, after which the material is broken up and subjected to firing at the heating zone. The material thus heated is delivered to the furnace for final firing.

A gaseous cooling medium is conducted continuously through the fixed wall into the material in the trough, and material is carried on the traveling hearth in an upwardly inclined direction out of the trough and then horizontally away from the trough, the speed at which material is carried on the traveling hearth and the rate at which hot material is discharged into the trough being such that the depth of the horizontally traveling material on the traveling hearth is substantially less than the depth of the material in the trough.

摘要： The invention relates to a process and an installation for the heat-treatment of fine-grained material. Before the material is introduced into a precalcination zone, waste air from a cooling zone is divided into two component streams into which partial quantities of material coming from the two preheating zones are introduced. Separately measurable quantities of fuel are added to these two component streams before they are combined with one another. In this way, the material is maximally deacidified in the precalcination zone before it is introduced into the calcining zone without any danger of deposits being formed in the precalcination zone.
