摘要： A fluid regulation system is provided comprising a source of a fluid, a tube in communication with the source for delivering the fluid from the source to a site, and a valve for controlling the rate of fluid flow from the source to the site. A remote control unit for controlling the valve allows the user to adjust the rate of fluid flow from the source through the tube to the site. Typically, the system excludes any means for automatically adjusting the rate of luid flow from the source through the tube to the site. The invention is particualrly useful when the valve is out of the user's reach. Also provided is a system and method for delivery of a breathable gas to an individual. Typically, such a system excludes any means for automatically adjusting the rate of gas flow from th source through the tube to the individual according to the level of physical activity of the individual.

摘要： A method and composition for treating a Bacillus anthracis infection is disclosed which comprises the steps of: administering to the site of an infection or colonization an effective amount of at least one lytic enzyme genetically coded for by a bacteriophage specific for Bacillus anthracis, wherein said at least one said lytic enzyme is specific for and has the ability to digest a cell wall of said Bacillus anthracis. The lytic enzyme may be chimeric or shuffled, and a holin protein may also be used. The sequence for the lytic enzyme gamma bacteriophage is disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus and method for processing audience measurement data detects (Fig. 2) and corrects one or more corrupted time codes. The corrupted time codes are identified by calculating a first set of intervals between a set of read times that may, but need not, be consecutive, each of which corresponds to one of the time codes extracted from a broadcast signal (30). The first set of intervals are compared to a second set of intervals between the time codes to identify when one or more of the second intervals do not meet a predetermined criteria. At least one of the time codes associated with each of the second intervals that do not meet the criteria is identified as being corrupted. The method used to calculate a corrected time code involves using the magnitude of the corresponding first interval to calculate the corrected time code.
