摘要： Polyisocyanate based elastomers and foams, having adjustable gelling periods are pred. from an MDI prepolymer system. The system comprises 1:(2-5) pts.wt. mixt. of components 'A' and 'B'. Component 'A' contains (all wt.%-s): 30-70 H2O 30-60 alkali-earth-oxide, -oxide-hydroxide, hydroxide or their mixts. 0-20 calcium and/or magnesium salts of organic acids, having high water solubility. 0-10 aq. soluble nonionic surfactant 0-30 customary additives. 1 pt.wt. of component 'A' is added to 2-5 pts.wt. of component 'B'. Component 'B' contains (all wt.%-s): 30-100 MDI prepolymer, i.e. a mixt. that contains di:phenyl-methane-di:isocyanate, of which at least 51 wt.% is 4,4' MDI. the remainder may be a different MDI isomer and/or a modified MDI and/or TDI. The prepolymer is prepd. by a reaction of the isocyanate with poly-propylene-glycol, and/or poly-(ethylene-propylene) glycol, inn such a manner that the poly-ether-alcohol chain's avg. mol.wt. should be 800-8000/mole; the number ratio of ethylene oxide:propylene oxid should be (0-1):1 units and that the average free NCO content of the prepolymer should be 1.5-15 wt.% when calculated on the complete wt. of the prepolymer. The prepolymer also contains: 0-50 MDI, polymeric MDI, modified MDI or a mixt. of these; 0-40 plasticising and/or thinning additive; 0-10 auxiliary blowing agent; 0-30 customary components compatible additions. Pts. 'A' and 'B' are mixed and allowed to gel. Prods. based on these schemes are also protected.
