摘要： PURPOSE:To expand the effective space in a trunk room by installing a speaker unit at the recess of a spare tire attached to an automobile. CONSTITUTION:In an automobile in which a spare tire 20 is housed in a housing recess 11 formed on a trunk room floor surface 10, a speaker box 30 is housed to the wheel recess 22 of the wheel 21 of the spare tire 20, and a speaker unit 31 is housed in the speaker box 30. And a cord 32 to be a signal line is connected to a terminal installed to the frame 34 of the speaker unit 31, and the cord 32 is processed to lay about on the trunk room floor surface 10. At the center of the speaker unit 31, a pipe 33 for inserting a bolt is provided, and by inserting a bolt 40 therein, and screwing up a nut 41 at the end of the bolt 40, the speaker box 30 is fixed to the wheel recess 22.

SOLUTION: In the Kelton system speaker 1 for reproducing low-pitched sound, a cabinet 5 for containing a speaker unit 3 has a substantially parallelepiped profile elongated longitudinally wherein the longitudinal length dimension is set close to the depth dimension of a sheet cushion 25 in a vehicle, the speaker unit 3 is fixed to a partition plate 7 sectioning the interior of the cabinet 5 into front and rear air chambers, and the lower surface of the cabinet 5 is secured to the sheet cushion 25 by means of a securing belt 23 laid along the longitudinal direction.

At the bottom side of the support groove 20, a rib 21 of which the tip comes into contact with the frame or the peripheral surface 7a on a baffle plate fitted to the support groove 20 is attached all around the support groove 20 like a ring. By the abutment of the rib 21 the airtightness of the mating interface is improved.
