    • The invention relates to a system and a method for the guidance of a catheter (20) with an electrode (21) in an electrophysiological procedure. A sequence of images (I1, ... Ik, ...) of the catheter (20) and of a resting reference catheter (30) is generated with an X-ray device (10) and stored together with the associated electrographic recordings from the electrodes (21, 31). A reference image (Ik) may then be selected from said sequence that corresponds to a desired electrographic pattern (Ek). In a next step, the positions (T, R) of the catheters (20, 30) are localized on the reference image (Ik), wherein the position (R) of the reference catheter (30) can be identified with the position of this catheter (30) on an actual image (I). Thus it is possible to determine on the actual image also a target position (T') for the catheter (20) that corresponds to the position (T) of this catheter (20) on the reference image (Ik). Said target position (T) may finally be indicated on a monitor (60) to assist the guidance of the catheter (20) to a desired location.

    • It is described a model-based estimation of the current contraction status (S) of a periodically contracting object such as a beating heart. Thereby, a characteristic feature that is directly related to the contraction status (S) is extracted from a current image (340) and subsequently compared to a model that gives the contraction status (S) of the heart in dependence on the characteristic feature. Thereby, an appropriate patient- individual model may be obtained e.g. from an ECG gated pre-interventional data set. A potential characteristic feature is the distance between two arbitrary reference catheters (341a, 341b, 342a, 342b) that are usually in a fix known standard position during a whole electrophysiological intervention. The knowledge about the current contraction status may be used to combine the current image with other images depicting the object in the same contraction status. Thereby, image elements, which depend on the contraction status and which are not viewable in the current image, may be made visible by overlaying different images depicting the object in one and the same contraction status.

    • The present invention provides a device and a method for physical training. The device comprises a body; sensor means that are attached to the body and are adapted to detect movement of the body between a first extreme position and a second extreme position, and to supply body movement data corresponding to the movement of the body; a data processor that is adapted to receive the body movement data from the sensor means; a data memory that is connected to the data processor; and output means that are connected to the data processor. The data processor is adapted to: i) store template body movement data in the data memory during a time interval, the template body movement data comprising body movement data at the start of the physical training; ii) after the time interval, compare the body movement data with the template body movement data; and iii) actuate the output means if a difference between the body movement data and the template body movement data exceeds a threshold.
