摘要： A DRM(Digital Rights Management) apparatus mounted on a mobile terminal and a DRM method using the same are provided to secure mutual compatibility by performing a mutual conversion of different DRM contents/license without the change or the publication of an internal module. A DRM apparatus mounted on a mobile terminal includes a DRM middleware(10). The DRM middleware performs a mutual conversion between different DRM systems. The DRM middleware is defined as a plug-in having at least one module necessary for the mutual conversion between different DRM contents. The DRM middleware includes an access control unit(12), a contents conversion unit(14), and a security management unit(16). The access control unit has a plug-in for performing an authority and rights check for the mobile terminal. The contents conversion unit has a plug-in for converting contents of a first DRM type into contents of a second DRM type. The security management unit has a plug-in for performing a transaction monitor and a policy management between different DRM systems.
