    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating plant disease each free from possibility of environmental problems and killing pathogenic bacteria of a plant body while suppressing to the minimum damage of a plant body healthy area. SOLUTION: This method for treating the plant disease comprises applying direct current high voltage to an electrode 7 and a plant body 1 and charging static electricity to the electrode 7 and/or the plant body 1 so as to generate corona discharge between the electrode 7 and the plant body 1 and kill plant cause bacteria sticking to or occurring on the plant body 1. The method for killing the plant cause bacteria based on charged voltage comprises setting a distance between the electrode 7 and the plant body 1 in a range so as not to wither a plant body 1 area which corona discharge reaches.
