摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a film having good gloss by preventing the generation of spitting, cracking and release in the film by shortening the setting time of aqueous inorg. coating material after painting and performing the baking after setting according to two-stage baking containing pre-baking drying and further performing the pre-baking drying of the first stage by infrared heating. CONSTITUTION:An infrared heating apparatus is provided to a setting zone and the setting time before an object to be coated is introduced into a pre- baking drying oven is suppressed to 10min or less. Subsequently, pre-baking drying is performed at a high temp. rising speed by infrared heating in the pre-baking drying oven until the temp. of the object to be coated reaches 100-150 deg.C. Thereafter, the final baking of the object to be coated is performed at 200-250 deg.C. Aqueous inorg. coating material is baked to the object to be coated by this method to improve the gloss of a film and the generation of spitting, cracking and release is perfectly eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the humidity resistance of a cured film and to prevent the chalking of the film by immersing the cured film formed from inorg. coating material prepared by adding ultrafine particulate silica to an aqueous alkali silicate solution in water at predetermined temp. CONSTITUTION:Coating material is prepared by adding ultrafine particulate silica and water as well as a colorant, a filler and a curing agent to an aqueous alkali silicate solution to be applied to base cloth and heated to form the cured film of the alkali silicate inorg. coating material. Subsequently, this cured film is immersed in water and pref. vibrated by bubbling or an ultrafine wave. The water temp. at the time of aforementioned water treatment is usually 20 deg.C or more and pref. 50-100 deg.C. As a result, the humidity resistance of the alkali silicate inorg. coating cured film is markedly enhanced and the chalking and release of the cured film can be prevented even at the time of use in a high humidity place.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance and weatherability by applying an inorganic coating material prepared by binding pigment with inorganic binder to a figured glass or an etched glass and then carrying out calcining and drying. CONSTITUTION:A figured glass or an etched glass is coated, by 20-200g/m , with an inorganic coating material by adding 10-50 pts.wt. pigment to 100 pts.wt. of inorganic binder formed by adding superfine silica and water to the aqueous solution of potassium silicate by a spraying method, etc., and then calcined at 150-230 deg.C for about 30min, by which a decorative glass is prepared. Subsequently, butyl rubber 3 is tuck on the periphery of a cleaned float glass sheet 1, and a methyl methacrylate(MMA) inlet 7 is provided on a corner, and the decorative glass 4 is stuck on the inlet with the vitreous coating film 2 inside, by which a clearance groove 5 is provided between two glass sheets. Then, MMA is poured through the inlet 7 and set at 15-30 deg.C for about 4hr, by which the float glass sheet 1 and the decorative glass 4 can be allowed to adhere firmly to each other.

When the amt. of the superfine silica particles is 50 pts.wt., complete dissolution in the alkali silicate is not carried out.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture an inorganic paint composition exerting a rust- preventing effect on metal products, by incorporating specific amounts of pearl pigment to a binder, for inorganic paint, of potassium silicate in which specific amounts of superfine-grained silica are dissolved by heating. CONSTITUTION:Potassium silicate (expressed in terms of solids) (100pts.wt.) and 10-40pts.wt. superfine-grained silica are placed in a reaction vessel and are agitated at about 80-100 deg.C for about 1-2hr, so that superfine-grained silica is perfectly dissolved in potassium silicate so as to be formed into a binder for inorganic paint. Further, water may be added, at this time, within the upper limits of about 400pts.wt. for 100pts.wt. of solid content in the mixture. Subsequently, 15-100pts.wt. pearl pigment is added to 100pts.wt. of above- mentioned binder for inorganic paint, which is mixed and agitated for about 2-4hr to be uniformized. In this way, the composition applying iris-colored films to practically all articles except plastics and wood can be obtained. At the time of application, the amount of the paint to be applied and the film thickness are regulated to about 60-100g/m as solids and about 10-15mu, respectively, and heating is applied at about 220 deg.C for about 10-20min for solidification.
