摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce excavation period by installing a thrust cylinder which pivots a cutter head on a cutter head support freely supported on a main beam in such a fashion that it may slide longitudinally and drive the cutter head when the main beam advances. CONSTITUTION:A cutter head 6 is pivoted on the front of a cutter head support 2 in such a fashion that it may rotate freely. Then, s support leg 9, which expands radially, is installed to the front end of a main beam 1. gripper device 10 is installed the rear end of the main beam 1. Driving the cutter head 6 along the main beam 1 fixed on the shaft of a tunnel, a pilot pile P is reamed on a large-sized tunnel. Therefore, the support leg 9, which supports the front end of the main beam 1, is acceptable even if it is small in size. This construction makes it possible to reduce the size of the pilot pile P as well.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to excavate a large bore tunnel or an inclined shaft into a bedrock efficiently with high degree of accuracy. In addition, a thrust cylinder 14 is connected between the cutter head support 9 and thereat gripper device 3, and the cutter head 8 is driven forward by expansion of the thrust cylinder 14 in a state to make pressure welding and fixing of the front bearing device 2 and the rear gripper device 3 to a tunnel wall. After that, the first cutter head 4 is driven forward together with the main beam 1 by contraction of the thrust cylinder 14 in a state to make pressure welding and fixing of the sub-gripper 11 to the tunnel wall. Stages of work mentioned above are alternately executed.
