    • A fluid machinery is disclosed which is able to assure a large compression volume without an increase in size and achieve high compressibility by suppressing leakage from sealing, thereby improving the reliability. In the fluid machinery, a second spiral 13 having a spiral inner engaging surface 17 formed to have a stepped shape in section is engaged with a first spiral 15 having an outer engaging surface 21 with a stepped sectional shape which rises upwardly from an outer peripheral side to a central side in a spiral manner, so that sealed spaces 25 are formed to cause reduction in volume of sealed spaces in both radial and height directions from a peripheral side to a central side. A closed spaces 35 having an inclination surface 19 is formed between a stepped surface of the outer engaging surface 21 of the first spiral 15 and a stepped surface of the inner engaging surface 17 of the second spiral 13. A spiral member 37 having a slant surface 39 which engages always with the inclination surfaces 19 is provided in the sealed spaces 35 so as to seal the lower pressure sealed spaces 25 and the higher pressure sealed spaces 25.

    • A gas-insulated switching apparatus is disclosed which includes a circuit breaker having a breaking section with at least a couple of mutually detachable contacts and a grounded tank containing the breaking section and filled with an insulating gas, the grounded tank being maintained at earth potential. A first bushing is vertically mounted on one side of the grounded tank, the central conductor of the first bushing being connected with one of the contact of the breaking section. A disconnecting switch has insulating gas sealed in it and accommodates a disconnecting section in a tank which is arranged connected to but gas-partitioned from the circuit breaker in an axially extending region of the grounded tank on the other side of the region where the first bushing is mounted. A bushing support tank has insulating gas sealed in it and is arranged so that is connected to but gas-partitioned from the disconnecting switch in an axially extending region of the grounded tank on the side of the disconnecting switch which is opposite to that of the circuit breaker. A second bushing is vertically mounted on the bushing support tank and a grounded switch is arranged inside the bushing support tank in a region which is an axially extending region of the circuit breaker. A lightning arrester is arranged gas-partitioned from the bushing support tank below the axis of the circuit breaker and the disconnecting switch but in the direction of this axis. The lightning arrester is electrically connected to the central conductor of the second bushing inside the bushing support tank.

    • Construction of a rolling bearing with seal ring can be achieved in which, while securing the required seal performance, the rotation support portion can be made more compact by shortening the dimension in the axial direction of the installation space for an inner ring 3a, and torque can be lowered. A sliding contact edge 23 of a seal lip 12a that is provided around the inner-circumferential edge portion of a seal ring 5a on one end side in the axial direction comes in sliding contact with one end surface 24 of the inner ring 3a. The problem can be solved because the diameter of the sliding contact portion is kept small.
