    • A wax emulsion is provided which comprises as essential ingredients (A) 100 parts by weight of a petroleum fraction wax having a melting point ranging within 40.degree. to 90.degree. C.; and (B) 3 to 20 parts by weight of an oxygen containing wax; said oxygen-containing wax being prepared by mixing 10 to 80 parts by weight of a petroleum fraction wax (I) having a melting point ranging within 50.degree. to 85.degree. C. with 90 to 20 parts by weight of a polyolefin wax (II) having a melting point ranging within 36.degree. to 120.degree. C., a number average molecular weight of from 310 to 1,000 and 5 to 50 double bonds per 1,000 carbon atoms to obtain a mixture, and then reacting 100 parts by weight of said mixture with 3 to 25 parts by weight of an unsaturated polycarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof under a condition for forming free radicals.

    • Reading sections (21a, 21b) wherein disks (10a, 10b) bearing barcodes are installed, are provided, and code sensors (23a, 23b) for reading out these barcodes are provided in the reading sections (21a, 21b). When a player rotates a disk (10a, 10b) installed on a turntable (22a, 22b), the barcode is read out by the code sensors (23a, 23b), and parameters are set respectively on the basis of this barcode.     • A fluorescent lamp device formed of an outer tube containing a fluorescent lamp therein, a connection tube connected to one end of the outer tube, a cap containing a glow starter and a condenser therein connected to the other end of the outer tube, and a base member connected to the connection tube. The base member contains a ballast member mainly formed of a thermistor and a thermal adjustment member having an integrally formed contacting member for making electrical connection with a base pin of the fluorescent lamp. The thermal adjustment member and the thermistor are in direct electrical and mechanical engagement such that the thermal adjustment member conducts heat from the thermistor to the thermal adjustment member.
