    • When the drafting operation with a display drafting apparatus and the generating operation with a control program schema generator proceed concurrently or separately, a step of temporarily storing the device of interest for display can be omitted to enhance the drafting efficiency. Conventionally, drafting the display was conducted in such a way as to temporarily store (memorize, or store with the file) a device of a controller for use, set up the specifications of the display at steps of selecting a display component, selecting display mode and function, and then call back the temporarily stored device to perform the operation of selecting the device symbol and number. This invention starts with the selection of a desired device, as such, there is no need of the temporary storage, resulting in enhanced drafting efficiency.

    • The present invention provides a memory allocation method and the like, meaning that user usability and the level of service for the user can be improved. The present invention is a method for allocating memory to an application, wherein in cases where, upon receiving a memory acquisition request, the required size cannot be acquired even by executing memory recovery processing, a judgment is made of whether or not a generated memory shortage state is temporary on the basis of memory recovery information relating to past memory recovery processing, and the required size requested; when the memory shortage state is judged to be temporary, in principle, rather than immediately performing error processing, an attempt is made to acquire memory by performing memory recovery processing once again after a predicted wait time determined on the basis of the memory recovery information and the required size has elapsed.

    • A microswitch, comprising: a casing consisting of a base casing half and a cover casing half; a plurality of terminal pieces received, at their intermediate parts, in slots provided in the base casing half and extending substantially perpendicularly from a surface opposing a corresponding surface of the cover casing half; a contact mechanism accommodated in a cavity in the casing and electrically connected to the terminal pieces; and a push-button member elastically supported by a spring member and projecting out of the casing for actuating the contact mechanism by movement of the push-button member; the terminal pieces being provided with projections extending from their leading edges, and the slot being provided with a recess for receiving the projection; wherein the slot comprises an external part and an internal part which is narrower than the external part, and a projecting length of the projection is larger than a depth of the internal part. Thereby, the projection may be easily fitted into the recess because the terminal piece is still in the broader part of the slot and can be easily shifted at this stage, but, once the projection is received in the recess, the terminal piece is securely held in position by the narrower part of the slot.

    • An information managing apparatus assigns identification information to print information and manages the print information based on the identification information. A receiving section receives a plurality of items of data. A first counter is defined in a non-volatile first memory. A second counter is defined in a volatile second memory. An identification information producing section produces the identification information for each of the plurality of items of data based on a count of the first counter and a count of the second counter. An identification information managing section manages the plurality of items of data based on the identification information. The second counter counts up by a value every time the receiving section receives an item of data, and the first counter counts up when the image forming apparatus is turned on, and when the second counter overflows.
