    • A tag access control system capable of setting an appropriate parameter for controlling a reader/writer can be provided. The tag access control system includes a control portion that controls data communication between an IC tag and a reader/writer by sending a command to the reader/writer in accordance with a parameter and receiving an execution result; and a parameter adjustment portion that adjusts the parameter to an appropriate value. The parameter adjustment portion includes a parameter change portion that changes the parameter a plurality of times, a result storage portion that records execution results of commands based on a plurality of parameters that are changed and a calculation portion that calculates an appropriate parameter based on the execution results stored in the result storage portion.

    • A security system prevents a commonly shared encryption key from being deciphered by an unwelcome party, while providing easier administration of encryption keys. The security system includes a memorizer 2, an encrypter/decrypter 8, a user administrator 3, a key obtainer 4, and a key distributor 5. Once the chat client joins a channel, the user administrator 3 obtains and stores user information from the chat server. The user information includes a nickname list. The key obtainer 4 selects one from other user terminals to request an encryption key therefrom. Once the key obtainer 4 receives the encryption key sent by the selected user terminal, the key obtainer 4 stores the encryption key in the memorizer 2. When the user terminal receives a request for an encryption key from another user, the key distributor retrieves and sends the encryption key from the memorizer 2 of the requesting user terminal. The security system 1 should have a key updater 6, which updates an encryption key whenever a predetermined trigger occurs. Thus, the encryption key is less likely to be deciphered. Only user terminals with the key distribution and/or update properties can distribute and/or update an encryption key. The key distribution and update properties can be granted as part of the user information.

    • A security program is installed on a plurality of user terminals that communicate with one another via an electronic conference room. A command interpreter (3) of the security program specifies a chat channel (CHi), a coordinated event (Ti), and an private key (Si), and then directs a common key generator (5) to generate a common key (CSi). The common key generator (5) generates a common key based on at least one of (CHi), (Ti), and (Si), and then stores the common key in a common key memorizer (6). The common key memorizer 6 stores the common key with reference to an index. An encrypter/decrypter (7) encrypts a conversation datum inputted with a newest common key, and transmits to other user terminals the encrypted conversation datum along with an index corresponding to the coordinated event used to generate the common key used to encrypt the conversation datum. The encrypter/decrypter (7) receives conversation datum generated by other user terminals, and decrypts the conversation datum using the common key. The common key to decrypt the conversation datum is retrieved from the common key memorizer (6) using the index received with the conversation datum.
