      SOLUTION: The separator for the battery is composed of a foamed sheet of a reactive polymer having crosslinking structure formed by radical-polymerizing a monomer having at least one functional group selected from a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group and a multi-functional monomer. The battery is manufactured in such a way that an electrode sheet/separator laminate is formed by laminating the electrode sheet on the separator and bonding them, the laminate is put into a battery container, an electrolyte in which a crosslinking agent comprising a multi-functional compound having reactivity to the functional group is dissolved is poured in the battery container by reacting the reactive polymer forming the separator with the crosslinking agent by the functional group to crosslink and cure them, and thereby, the electrode sheet is bonded to the separator.

The battery is manufactured in such a way that an electrode sheet/separator laminate is formed by laminating the electrode sheet on the separator and bonding them, the laminate is put into a battery container, an electrolyte is poured in the battery container and heating to activate the epoxy resin curing agent, the reactive polymer is crosslinked and cured with the epoxy group, and thereby, the electrode sheet is bonded to the separator.
