SOLUTION: In a method and a structure for joining the metal plate of the metal roof, a seam portion 10 is formed by seam-fastening ends of the first and second coated metal plates 3 and 4, and heated so that a coating 5 of the seam portion 10 can be fusion-bonded to a plate surface of the a seam portion 10 facing the coating 5 and a coating 5 applied onto the plate surface of the seam portion 10 facing the coating 5.
