    • PURPOSE:To make the mounting of the lead wires of a sensor element firm by forming groove parts in the substrate of the sensor elements and disposing the lead wires in these groove parts then packing a conductive packing material therein. CONSTITUTION:A heater layer 12 is formed by using conductive paste on an insulation plate 11a consisting of a crude sheet of alumina. Next, an insulation plate 11b having grooves 20a, 20b, 20c at intervals corresponding to the intervals of lead wires in the end part of the plate 14 11b consisting of a similar crude sheet is placed on the plate 11a and these are press-stuck under heating, whereby an unfired substrate 11 is formed. In succession to this, platinum lead wires 13a, 13b, 13c are disposed in the groove parts 20a, 20b, 20c, after which conductive packing materials 21a, 21b, 21c are packed to fill the end parts of the lead wires. Thereafter, the substrate 11 is fired to maintain the strength as the substrate and to assure the connection between the heater layer and the lead wires.

      SOLUTION: The method for processing the hole part of CAD data has a process (step S22) for creating an approximation surface 20 approximated to a boundary on a basal surface 1 indicating a large hole part 10, a process (step S27) for creating an extension surface 18 by extending the shape inward by predetermined width from the boundary of the large hole part 10, a process (step S30) for judging whether or not an error between the approximation surface 20 and the extension surface 18 is equal to or less than a predetermined value and a process (step S34) for clipping a part located inside the extension surface 18 of the approximation surface 20, inserting it in the extension surface 18 and fills in the large hole part 10 when the error is equal to or less than the predetermined value (step S30: YES).

    • PURPOSE:To prevent plastic deformation caused during a sintering process and to increase the durability of a heater, by adhering conductive paste containing conductive powder and ceramic powder at an unsintered ceramic substrate in a heater shape before ignition. CONSTITUTION:The unsintered sheet 1 is manufactured by adding a suitable flux, etc. to a ceramic powder material. A pure metal or an alloy of platinum group element is used as the conductive material to form the heater. The ceramic powder is added by 10-30vol% to this conductive material powder to delay the sintering progress thereof and to bring close to the sintering progress rate of the ceramic sheet substrate 1, and this mixture and an organic vehicle are mixed to manufacture the conductive paste which is adhered on the substrate 1 in a heater shape 2. Then a gas concn. detecting part is formed on the ceramic sheet base plate and ignited. By constituting in such way, the durability of the heater is improved and the increase of the resistance percentage is minimized even in a longterm service.

On this occasion, the layer 103 is provided with terminal parts 103a, 103b and extended parts 113a and 113b extended to a tip face 111 farther from the position of through-holes 110a and 110c provided on a substrate material 102b. Next, lead wires 109a and 109c are arranged on the parts 103a, 103b and the parts 113a, 113b and then, the material 102b is placed on said parts. These are burnt after press-fixing by heating and the electrically conductive paste is poured into the through-holes and then, the substrate incorparating the heater layer is obtained. A gas sensor is made by providing a gas sensitive body on the substrate.
