    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder cable monitoring device capable of improving safety performance of railway operation by constantly monitoring feeder cable to feed DC current to a railway vehicle, and providing information of deterioration to a person in charge of the feeder cable in a case where deterioration occurs in insulating coating of the feeder cable for preventing grounding accident of the feeder cable. SOLUTION: A conductor part 4 is disposed around the feeder cable 1 covered with insulating coating 3 covering feeder 2. The conductor part 4 is connected to a deterioration detector 12 to output a signal in a case where voltage at the conductor part 4 exceeds a threshold value. The signal from the deterioration detector 12 is received by a signal output part 13. The signal output part 13 receives the signal from the deterioration detector 12 to output information including abnormality in the feeder cable 1 and an abnormality generated part, and the outputted information is transmitted through a communication line 15 to a terminal 16 to convey the information to the person in charge of the feeder cable 1. The person in charge immediately finds the abnormality in the feeder cable 1 based on the information from the terminal 16, and takes a countermeasure such as replacement of the cable.
