    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder cable monitoring device capable of improving safety performance of railway operation by constantly monitoring feeder cable to feed DC current to a railway vehicle, and providing information of deterioration to a person in charge of the feeder cable in a case where deterioration occurs in insulating coating of the feeder cable for preventing grounding accident of the feeder cable. SOLUTION: A conductor part 4 is disposed around the feeder cable 1 covered with insulating coating 3 covering feeder 2. The conductor part 4 is connected to a deterioration detector 12 to output a signal in a case where voltage at the conductor part 4 exceeds a threshold value. The signal from the deterioration detector 12 is received by a signal output part 13. The signal output part 13 receives the signal from the deterioration detector 12 to output information including abnormality in the feeder cable 1 and an abnormality generated part, and the outputted information is transmitted through a communication line 15 to a terminal 16 to convey the information to the person in charge of the feeder cable 1. The person in charge immediately finds the abnormality in the feeder cable 1 based on the information from the terminal 16, and takes a countermeasure such as replacement of the cable. Faint and constant electric current whereby the signal lamp bulb is not turned on is supplied to the signal lamp bulb through the probes P3 and P4, and the voltage between the probes P3 and P4 is determined whether it is in a predetermined normal range or not. The determination result is informed by LED D9, D10, or a buzzer.
