    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave type distance measuring instrument capable of restraining a disturbance wave, when a protection mechanism such as a partition plate is provided in the measuring instrument for the purpose of preventing heat, deposition of foreign matter and the like. SOLUTION: In this microwave type distance measuring instrument, the disturbance wave reflected directly from the partition plate is precluded from coming into a reception antenna by inclining the partition plate, and a radio wave absorber is provided on a wall surface in an inner side of a measuring instrument attaching seat to restrain the disturbance wave such as a multiple reflection wave reflected a plurality of times and an irregular reflection wave. The radio wave absorber for absorbing the reflection wave reflected between a microwave transceiver and the partition plate in a cylindrical body is preferably bonded on a cylindrical inner face.
