    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure for a measure against an expandable ground capable of constructing a foundation (base structure) for supporting a structure constructed on the expandable ground in a short period and a method of constructing the foundation structure.
      SOLUTION: This foundation structure A for a measure against an expandable ground for supporting a structure constructed on the expandable ground G comprises: a pile part 1 having a top end part 1a projecting from the ground surface G3 of the expandable ground G and disposed in the expandable ground G; and a concrete foundation part 3 joined to the top end part 1a and supported on the pile part 1 and so disposed as to form a space S between itself and the ground surface G3 of the expandable ground G. A support member 4 for supporting the concrete foundation part 3 in an uncured state in which the strength of a deposited concrete does not reach predetermined strength is interposed in the space S. The support member 4 receives an expansion force from the ground surface G3 and is deformed when the expandable ground G expands and so swells as to fill the space S.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the strength and executing ability of a rail road crossing by, after fittedly fixing a fixed number of groove-shaped cross section lying down bearing discs to locking metal fittings on the upper face of a steel tie, spreadedly providing a press-formed steel step tread having a key-shaped cross section side edge on the above bearing disc to fasten it to the steel tie. CONSTITUTION:A steel tie 3 having locking metal fittings 2b fixed at proper intervals is spreadedly provided on a rail road crossing base 20, and a fixed number of groove- shaped cross section lying down bearing discs 4b are fittedly fixed to the metal fittings 2b. Steel step treads 7a, 7b, 7c are spreadedly provided on the bearing disc 4b through a shock relaxation member 21 made of rubber. The step treads 7a, 7b, 7c are unitedly press-formed, and both their side edges are made to continue to an upper step face, and the tip of the side edge is formed into a keyshaped cross section having a hook- shape. The key-shaped sections of the step treads 7a, 7b, 7c are sandwichedly fixed between fastening metal fittings to fasten rails 11a, 11b to the tie. In addition, a reinforcing stiffener is welded to the back of both the side edges of the step treads 7a, 7b, 7c. Thus the strength of a rail road crossing can be improved to improve its durability and safety, and moreover it can be simply constructed and repaired, and manday and the term of work required for the rail road crossing can therefore be reduced.
