    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dehydration product, wherein esterification or amidation of an alcohol and/or an amine with (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of a dehydration solvent is carried out by (A) preventing a reaction liquid from bumping while removing by-produced water from the reaction system, (B) improving and stabilizing detection accuracy of the interface between the dehydration solvent and the by-produced water, and (C) sufficiently suppressing formation of a gel-like material. SOLUTION: The method for producing the dehydration product is characterized by the followings. In the dehydration process of esterifying and/or amidating an alcohol and/or an amine with (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of the dehydration solvent, a reactor 101 and a water separator 127 are essentially used. The water separator includes: a supplying pipe 129 connected to the reactor; a gas phase part and a liquid phase part therein; and detectors 136, 138 for detecting the interface between the dehydration solvent and the by-produced water and/or the gas-liquid interface.       SOLUTION: In the method for producing an alkylene oxide addition product, the alkylene oxide addition product is obtained by carrying out an addition reaction of an alkylene oxide to a hydroxy group-containing saturated compound. The method includes: the initial step of adding average 20 moles or less of the alkylene oxide to 1 mole of the hydroxy group-containing saturated compound to obtain a low molar alkylene oxide-addition product; and the addition mole number-adjusting step of further adding the alkylene oxide to the low molar alkylene oxide-addition product obtained in the initial step; wherein a part of the total low molar alkylene oxide-addition product obtained in the initial step is used in the addition mole number-adjusting step.
