When the shim ring 20 and an aperture end part 10a are tightened between the cylinder block and a cylinder head, deformation of the bead 15 is stopped, and it gets tightly in contact with both by its resiliency force to restore. The shim ring 20 thus maintains the sealing function of the bead 15, and it acts as a sealing member itself, thereby a stable sealability is secured.
