    • PURPOSE:To control the information desired not to be known by an unpermitted receiver especially at a base station by adding a scramble circuit and its control section to the base station, and a descramble circuit to a receiver. CONSTITUTION:A signal transmitted from a telephone set 1 is converted into a code by a control section 3 through an exchange 2, modulated by a modulation section 4, and transmitted via a transmission section 5 and an antenna 6. The control section 3 applies scrambling to its code. The signal transmitted from the base station is demodulated by a demodulation section 9 via a reception section 8 from an antenna 7, one is inputted to a decoder 12 via a gate 11, and the other is inputted to the decoder 12 via the gate 11 from the descramble circuit 10. The descramble circuit 10 acts like restoring the scrambled code by the control section 3 of the base station. When a signal C is inputted to the decoder 12, it is compared with a call number stored in the ROM13 in advance and when they are coincident, a speaker 17 is energized and an information code succeeding to the call number is displayed on a display device 14.

    • PURPOSE:To make a user informed of the cause of a power source voltage drop by performing annunciating operation different from normal selective calling annunciation when power consumption decreases and a source voltage drops down to a lower voltage. CONSTITUTION:A low-voltage detection part 11 generates a stable reference voltage for a battery 2 and outputs a low-voltage detection signal to a ringing generation part 8 when the battery voltage drops below the reference voltage, i.e. enters a state LV. The generation part 8 once receiving the detection signal informs the user of the low-voltage state by a signal different from a call signal. In this case, if the source voltage enters the state LV owing to a large current, the volume and frequency of a ring-back tone or ringing for the start of receiver operation right after a switch 1 is turned on and the way of disconnection, etc., are made different from normal ones to let the user know the state LV. If the source voltage is in the low-voltage state even when a large current is not consumed, complete deterioration of the power source is reported by different ringing.

An output of LPFs 6, 7 is fed respectively to ALC amplifiers 8 and 9, and the amplifiers 8 and 9 make respective output voltages A, B constant independent of an input electric field. The output B of the amplifier 9 is delayed by a delay circuit 10 and the output of the delay circuit 10 is multiplied with the output A by a multiplication circuit 11. Further, an output D of the multiplication circuit 11 is outputted to an output terminal 13 via an LPF12.

Opening and closing of these switches 16-18 are controlled by the control signal from the decoder part 4. The receiver is so constituted that the reference voltage is generated quickly by the integrating circuit of the waveform shaping part 3 to reduce the power consumption of the receiver, and the time constant of the integrating circuit is switched to an optimum value to improve the reliability of demodulation.
